This is one of my favorite pieces. The whole painting was completed manually from start to finish. I love the big orangutan portrait on the left side of the painting; the screaming orangutan was also fun to paint. Orangutans are currently facing a very difficult time, their numbers are depleting fast. Human activities are encroaching into their habitats and there is a need for strong policies to protect them in the countries involved. With this painting I hope to show the beauty of orangutans, and that their habitats should not be taken away from them in the name of so called human progress.
