I painted this piece for my dad for father’s day 2017. I am not particularly keen on painting portraits, however, I wanted to try this type of painting and I was really pleased with the finished product. I framed the original and gave it to my dad and he really likes it. As my skills improve, I will probably do more watercolor portraits in the future, or perhaps sooner if I find a particularly compelling subject to paint.
