This watercolor portrait is part of my original watercolor painting of three tigers. Out of the three tigers this portrait is my favorite. This image of the tiger was taken from a photograph. According to the WWF, after a century of decline, tiger numbers are on the rise. There are at least 5,574 tigers remaining in the wild, however, a lot of work still needs to be done to protect the species which still stands in the vulnerable to extinction category (source WWF).
