This is a portrait illustration of my dogs Dexter & Rosie. This is the first watercolor painting that I did using student grade watercolor pans. The watercolor pans only came with ten colors. I used a lot of white space on the faces and I colored the shadowed areas in. I also inked the whole painting with black pen. I was just experimenting with watercolor and pen for this illustration and added the watercolor background separately later.
