This is a painting of Leazes Terrace in Autumn. Leazes Terrace is a row of apartment residences in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, and it is a grade II* listed building in Georgian style architecture. Part of the building is a student residence of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, which I was lucky enough to live in for 7 years during my studies. Living there during those years was one of the best times of my life. This watercolor piece is set in the autumn as can be seen by the leaves on the trees overlooking Leazes Park being yellow. This painting reminds me the time when I was living in Newcastle, even though it could be cold and gloomy there, I always felt warmth and comfort in Newcastle. It was my home away from home.
