This swimming Sea Turtle illustration is part of my original watercolor painting of Sea Turtles. The watercolor background was added in later. This is one of my favorite illustrations, the Sea Turtle looks like its flying through the ocean. The beautiful Sea Turtle has long been suffering from a massive decline in numbers for several reasons. The biggest threat to them is poaching, the Sea Turtle has been slaughtered for their eggs, meat, skin and shells (source WWF). The Sea Turtle is vital to the marine ecosystem, it is imperative for us to protect them.
